IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ALL FORMS BE SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL TO BPSHomeSchooling@BuffaloSchools.org. Electronic submission of forms will allow the Office of Home Schooling to better process paperwork and conform receipt in a more timely fashion.
ATTENTION: Quarter 2 reports are due January 26, 2024. The Quarterly Report form can be found by clicking the "Printable Copies of Documents" box below. Reports should be submitted via email as a Word or PDF attachment (please do not use google docs) to BPSHomeschooling@Buffaloschools.org.
IMPORTANT: Students who are homeschooled through high school cannot be awarded a local or Regents diploma from NYS. If a high school student returns to a Buffalo Public School after being home schooled for any of grades 9 - 12, the school principal determines which home school credits may or may not be awarded towards a diploma. Please refer to the NYSED home school website for additional information from the NYS Department of Education.
The procedures outlined on the website are utilized as the standard for reviewing Individualized Home Instruction Plans (IHIPs) and determining substantial equivalence of instruction as required by the NYSED Commissioner’s Regulation 100.10.
