City Honors School: Learning opportunities everywhere
City Honors was founded in 1975 for academically gifted and talented high school students. Today it offers students AP courses as well as a full IB Diploma Program, and is nationally recognized for its high academic ranking. City Honors School also includes middle school, grades 5-8, which has now implemented the MYP (Middle Years Program) of international education.
Presently, the City Honors School building (#195) is undergoing reconstruction and will be ready for occupancy September, 2010. During the interim the middle schools years program (grades 5-8) is located at BPS building #56 on W. Delavan Avenue, and the high school counterpart is located at BPS building #8 on E. Utica Street.
