Here are some pictures of the Native Dance Demonstration that was held during the Native American Day Celebration at the Native American Magnet School on Friday, 9/26/08. Two Pow-Wow style dancers, Corey and Cassandra, were invited from St. Catherines, ON, Canada to perform. About 15 of our Native American students performed as well, some of whom are dancers in their own right and some who are novices, got up on stage to join the performance. In addition, traditional foods,such as Corn Soup, Fry Bread and Strawberry Juice, were served during lunch by the Native American Resource Program staff and volunteers.
