BPS Students Visit Ralph Wilson Stadium
About 70 students from numerous Buffalo Public Schools were special guests of the Buffalo Bills and were invited to watch a team practice and hear positive messages about making smart and healthy life-choices from the new head coach and players. In the News: BPS Schools Featured on WKBW
WKBW-TV created a new feature for its television morning show titled "Cool for School." Two Buffalo Public Schools were featured by Mike Randal and Laura Gray. Channel 7 stopped by the Makowski School for a Mandarin Chinese class as well as an interesting lesson concerning a Peanut Butter and Jelly book at Waterfront School. Diapers Delivered to Grover Principal Dr. Casey Young
Buffalo Public School District Principals Dr. Casey Young from Grover Cleveland High School and Dr. William Kresse from City Honors School made a friendly wager when their respective schools’ soccer teams competed in the Section VI Class B Boys Soccer Championship playoff game. The winner would receive a practical gift that could come in handy for the recent proud papas: a case of diapers. Olmsted at Kensington Food Drive
Students at Olmsted at Kensington need your help collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for a food drive to benefit the Food Bank and the 500 agencies the organization serves. You can drop off your donation at Fredrick Law Olmsted at Kensington School, located at 319 Suffolk Avenue in Buffalo. If you have questions you can also reach the school at 716.816.4330. Donations will be accepted from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM on school days, up until Monday November 23rd.

Picture Page: City Hall Food Drive
A truck was in front of Buffalo City Hall to accept canned goods and non-perishable food last week as part of the “Extreme Makeover: Food Drive Challenge.” The downtown business community, along with City, County, State, and Federal employees dropped off food donations with the goal of shattering the previous record for food collected during previous “Extreme Makeover” food drives of six tractor-trailer loads.
