Overview
The BPS EWIMS Dashboard uses readily available data to identify students who are at risk of not graduating high school on-time or dropping out using predictive data analytics constructed around localized Early Warning Indicators (EWI) starting as early as kindergarten.
EWI are based on "malleable" student attributes and behaviors grouped into three domains: (A) Attendance, (B) Behavior, and (C) Course Performance and Composite/Combined Indicators using hundreds of data points harvested from within district data systems (see the charts by grade level below).
BPS students are classified into one of three categories based on our Go for Graduation Gold! risk levels (see below). Progress monitoring recommendations are provided for each category. Note: Interventions are provided to all students regardless of risk level.
