Agreement for students to apply for up to 15 credit hours of articulated course credit upon enrollment at BSC and successful completion of 12 BSC college credit hours in the Business Diploma Program and/or Business AAS Program.
Cosmetology is currently offered at South Park High School
The cosmetology program provides students with the knowledge and skills applicable to the care of hair, skin, and nails, and prepare students for the state’s Board of Cosmetology examinations. Students gain experience in hair care, facials, and manicures; course topics include human anatomy, sanitation and sterilization, and related chemistry and bacteriology. Shop management and State regulations are also included.

A total of 1000 clinical hours are required to be eligible for the State licensing exam. In addition to coursework, students will need to acquire an additional 100 hours through extended learning time which will be provided through after school, weekend, Community Saturday, and summer work opportunities.
