Fire Science is currently offered at East Community High School

Fire Science courses offer students the opportunity to learn fire prevention and management under controlled conditions. Students learn about the organization, rules, requirements, and regulations of fire departments; study and practice the tools and techniques used by firefighters to control or extinguish fires; and examine the behavior of fires. These courses also include emergency medical procedures like CPR, first aid and fire investigation techniques.
