Students will study the design, layout and fabrication of various sheet metal components used for the movement of air within the framework of the building trades. All modern methods and materials are utilized and taught, including the following: heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, standard assembly procedures, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, riveting, welding and soldering, fabrication and installation. Advanced applications in high efficiency furnaces, steam boilers, generators, and forced air will be included.
