Urban Teacher Academy  Banner

Urban Teacher Academy is currently offered at International Preparatory High School (I-Prep) and McKinley High School.

Urban Teacher Academy courses allow students to explore topics and interests related to education. Courses are devised to introduce students to teaching & learning in urban educational environments. Courses may serve as an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of educational history and its meaning in the advancement of social justice. (A teacher recommendation is required to be accepted into this program.)

Students can earn up to 6 college credits through dual enrollment. The college Partner for Urban Teacher Academy is SUNY Buffalo State University.
