Field Trip to Ganondagan State Historic Site

Ganondagan State Historic Site, situated in Victor, NY, is a National Historic Landmark and the sole New York State Historic Site focused on Native American heritage since 1987. It is the only Seneca town in the U.S. that has been developed and interpreted. Covering 569 acres, Ganondagan marks the location of a 17th-century Seneca town that thrived peacefully over 350 years ago. The Seneca people’s culture, art, agriculture, and governance have significantly shaped contemporary views on equality, democratic governance, women’s rights, ecology, and natural foods.
