STI Testing

Buffalo Public Schools, in partnership with Erie County Department of Healths offers free and confidential STI testing and treatment and pregnancy testing at all high schools. Students can visit their schools health clinic for testing.

Sexually transmitted infections, or commonly referred to as STI’s, are treatable and often curable infections. STIs may present differently depending on the individual, while some infections may present with no symptoms at all. Testing is the only way to know for sure if you have an STI. STI testing available at school clinics is limited to testing and treatment for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. For more comprehensive STI and HIV testing, contact the Erie Department Sexual Health Center (716)858-7687.

You should consider testing if you:

  • Recently had unprotected sex

  • Have more than one sexual partner

  • Have a sexual partner who has other sexual partners

  • Feel any pain, itching, or burning on or near your genitals

  • You have had no recent STI testing
