Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts presents their annual Black History Month Presentation –
Celebration of Hip-Hop
An Arts Academy presentation celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop.
Born from gatherings of Black American, Caribbean, and Latin American youth in NYC, hip-hop started out as an underground expression of Black experiences and morphed into a global phenomenon. Featuring graffiti and street art, break dance, old school and golden age Hip-Hop music, poetry, and student documentaries, join us in paying homage to the founding mothers and fathers of Hip-Hop and their legacy.
