
The mission of the Buffalo Public Schools' Office of CLRI is to share the value and best practices of culturally and linguistically responsive practices in order to support the needs of our diverse student population.
The vision of the Office of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Initiatives (CLRI) is that all staff support schools in establishing a community that embraces, values, and infuses culturally and linguistically responsive teaching and learning for all students.

Culturally Responsive- Sustaining Education: The CR-S framework helps educators create student centered learning environments that affirm racial, linguistic and cultural identities; prepare students for rigor and independent learning, develop students' abilities to connect acc=ross lines of difference; elevate historically marginalized voices; and empower students as agents of social change.
