Meet Mrs. Bush, Assistant Principal
Dear Families and Staff,
It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction as the new Acting Assistant Principal of Arthur O. Eve School of Distinction. I am incredibly grateful and excited to join the Arthur O. Eve School Family! I look forward to working in partnership with Mr. Barnes and the staff to continue the work of advocating for and providing all students and families with an educational experience that promotes a first-class education; that merges academic rigor with the Visual and Performing Arts in a safe and caring environment.
Prior to joining Arthur O. Eve School of Distinction, I was an Instructional Coach in the Buffalo Public School District for 3 years. Before becoming an Instructional Coach, I was a classroom teacher, varsity coach, and dance teacher. I truly have a passion for the Arts since it has played an important role in who I have become today.
On a more personal note, I am a Buffalo native and proud graduate of Buffalo Public Schools. My undergraduate and master’s degrees are in Arts and Humanities with a Minor in Dance and Elementary Education with an Advance Certification in Educational Leadership.
My Philosophy of Education is built on the importance of relationships – relationships between teacher and student; student and student; teacher and teacher; and family and school. We are a team with the same goal – to make a positive difference in a child’s life. The important things are to encourage students to dream; to believe in them until they believe it too; and teach them how to keep going when life gets hard.
I am committed to working alongside Mr. Barnes - as we continue to provide leadership and build a structure of collaborative relationships in the school and community - so that ALL students have a variety of opportunities to succeed! I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Arthur O. Eve School of Distinction have a successful school year!
Best,
Chelsea J. Bush
