Principal’s Biography

Hello!

I’m Marquita Bryant, the proud principal of Frederick Law Olmsted #64 since 2016.  I have been dedicated to the field of education for over 15 years, and it is my privilege to serve this wonderful community.

I began my career as an elementary teacher at Poplar Academy #11 and Harvey Austin #97 where I discovered my passion for fostering a love of learning in young students. Over the years, I have held various roles, including assistant principal, principal coach, and adjunct professor which have provided me with a broad perspective on educational leadership and student development.

I hold master’s degrees and/or advanced certificates in Counseling Education, Educational Leadership, and Gifted Education from Canisius College. I’m NYS certified in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Education, Gifted Education, School Building Leader, and School District Leader.  I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth. My educational philosophy centers on the belief that every child can succeed when given the right support and opportunities. I strive to create an inclusive and engaging environment where all students feel valued and motivated to achieve their best.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, going out for dinner, and yoga. These activities help me stay balanced and bring fresh ideas and energy to my work.

I am excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to working with our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and, most importantly, our amazing students. Together, we can continue to make Olmsted 64 a place where every child thrives.

Warmest regards,
Principal Bryant
