      • We understand that students will be bringing in school supplies. Please bring supplies in during the next 3 school days (Thursday to Monday).

      • Do not bring in everything at once as it will take longer to go through the system.

      • Expect delays at the door!

  • Breakfast will be served from 7:15 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. All students are encouraged to arrive by 7:15 a.m. to have enough time to eat.

  • Homerooms will open at 7:30 a.m. Students are expected to report to homeroom from 7:30 to 7:50 a.m. for attendance purposes. This time will be extended to include period 1 for attendance purposes on Thursday, 9/5, to Monday, 9/9. Please make every effort to arrive ON TIME.

    • All schedules have been updated on Infinite Campus. We are still working on a few. Please check your schedule on Infinite Campus/Parent Portal to see who your homeroom teacher is. All homeroom assignments are accurate.

      • If you do not have access to Infinite Campus/Parent Portal yet (new students), staff will be assisting students upon arrival to help them find their homeroom.

Dismissal:

  • Middle School (5-8):

    • Yellow buses will be dismissed first, as they arrive.

      • Please be sure that your child knows their afternoon bus number. All transportation arrangements have been mailed to families.

      • If your child will not be riding the yellow bus on the first day, please send a note to the main office and homeroom teacher advising us of that change. Otherwise, your child will be sent home on the yellow bus.

      • EARLY dismissals will not be processed after 2:00 p.m. daily! Please send early dismissal notes to your child’s homeroom teacher in the morning, so we can prepare ahead of time.

    • Parent Pick-Ups will take place on the Hempstead side, parking lot door (side entrance). Please see the attached map.

      • Student pick-ups will start at approximately 2:25 p.m. with students in Grades 5-6 being dismissed first.

      • Please DO NOT BLOCK yellow buses, as they will be picking students up by the door closest to Suffolk St. on Hempstead Avenue.

      • Anyone picking up a student must be noted on Infinite Campus. Please be sure to bring NYS identification. If you are not on the student pick-up list, the child will not be released. This is a safety matter.

  • High School (9-12):

    • Students taking NFTA busing will be directed to their bus.

      • NFTA routes 12, 19 and 23 are the specials that transport students directly after school.

      • Students MUST use the routes printed on their bus pass. If there are concerns, you may contact the Security Officer to request a route change.

      • NFTA transportation is free for the first three days. All students will receive a bus pass by Friday, 9/6. Students must be present in HOMEROOM to receive their bus pass.

    • Please be mindful of students as they cross the street. We do not want anyone getting hurt.

    • DO NOT BLOCK TRAFFIC on Suffolk St. as buses must leave immediately after students board.

    • All students will exit the building on the Oakmont St. side. Please use the indicated pick-up area on Oakmont St.

    • All high school students will be dismissed at the bell (2:23 p.m.)
