The Buffalo Public Schools Office of DEI - CLRI is excited to share with all administrators, educators, parents, and community stakeholders the culturally responsive curriculum compendium now curated as the Diversity Celebration Series.
The Diversity Celebration Series will continue to center joy, equity, empathy, and cultural relevance in the lives of our students, in alignment with the CRSE framework of NYSED. In doing so, the curriculum will still place an extreme importance on amplifying Black and Brown voices, cultures, and histories while incorporating additional nationally recognized cultures, holidays, and months.
We encourage all educators to thoughtfully review and facilitate the lesson and PowerPoint specific to your grade level. This month, we aim to showcase Hispanic cultural influences, contributions, and heritage within Western New York and the Latinx diaspora.
Please explore connections to your students’ identities and curriculum content in joyful and meaningful ways.
