Dear Parents / Families,
The 2023-24 school year is going to be here soon – I hope you are taking time to enjoy the Summer. We are making plans for the new school year with a focus on our priorities of practical academics, work-based learning, community training and social emotional learning. Our big news is the after-school program has been reinstated and we will be hosting 8 Community School Nights. These two initiatives will enhance the school program for all students. I will be sending more information when plans are finalized.
Parent Engagement – We need to establish a parent organization for OTC. I need your help with the Site-Base Management Team (a monthly meeting) membership. The focus of these meetings will be planning events for our community school nights. People Inc. is partnering with us and will be providing presentations relevant to transition planning and personal growth. Parent Network of WNY will continue to support the school too.
The First Day of school for students is September 8, 2023 – you will receive a notice from transportation prior to the start of school providing information about the yellow bus schedule. If you child rides metro bus they will be allowed to ride free for the 1st week. Bus passes will be issued during the first few days of school. Please let us know if you will be transporting your child – 716-816-3250.
